One of the fastest and most spectacular riders of his generation, Steve ‘Hizzy’ Hislop produced some unforgettable moments around the Mountain Course.
Hizzy claimed 11 TT victories and made history in 1989 when he became the first rider to lap the course at an average speed of more than 120mph. His most famous victory came in the 1992 Senior TT, when he defeated Carl Fogarty after an epic battle aboard the iconic Norton rotary.
With two three-win TT weeks and victories across several classes, Hislop remains one of the defining TT riders of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
