Few riders made an impact on the Isle of Man TT quite like David Jefferies. The Yorkshireman quickly became one of the dominant forces of his era, combining incredible speed with a larger-than-life personality that made him a favourite with fans.
After making his debut in 1996, ‘DJ’ went on to claim nine TT victories, including remarkable hat-tricks in 1999, 2000 and 2002. He repeatedly pushed the boundaries of what was possible around the Mountain Course, setting outright lap records along the way.
Jefferies tragically lost his life during practice for the 2003 TT, but remains one of the most celebrated riders of his generation.
