From humble beginnings to one of the world’s great motorcycle races, these are the years that created the Isle of Man TT.

Beginning with the first races on two wheels in 1907, this pioneering period saw motorcycles, speeds and the event itself develop rapidly. The move to the Mountain Course in 1911 created the challenge we recognise today, while the TT attracted leading manufacturers and competitors from across Britain and Europe.
