Martin Finnegan earned legions of fans with his
determination, talent and down-to-earth personality. This stunning image from
Stephen Davison shows him as we will always remember him – on the limit.
In his best-selling book Ragged Edge, Stephen Davison included
this picture in a chapter dedicated to Finnegan, titled The Messiah.
He said of the image:
‘Martin Finnegan takes the suspension of his Vitrans
Honda Fireblade to the limit and beyond at the bottom of Barregarrow during
practice for the 2005 TT.’
