The Official Review of the 2019 MotoGPTM World Championship

2019 saw Marc Márquez take a record 420 points as he secured his eighth World title overall and his fourth consecutive MotoGPTM World Championship.

It was also the year fans got to salute Jorge Lorenzo as the three-time World Champion called an end to his stellar MotoGPTM career.

As one hero exited the pitlane, it looked as if another was entering. France’s Fabio Quartararo, aged just 20, took seven podium finishes and six pole positions in his first year of the premier class, securing fifth place in the World Championship overall.

Andrea Dovizioso continued to impress on the Ducati and Maverick Viñales and Álex Rins led the charge for Yamaha and Suzuki respectively, so the season ended with four different manufacturers in the top four spots.

MotoGPTM can always be relied on to deliver excitement and drama in spadefuls throughout the season and 2019 is certainly no exception. The official review is packed with highlights of the on-track action, from the moments the lights went out at Qatar right to the final wave of the flag at Valencia.

Filmed throughout in high quality, the review is the best memento of a sensational year of MotoGPTM action.

2019 Moto2TM and Moto3TM World Championship Official Review

The switch to Triumph engines added a new dimension to the anticipation ahead of the Moto2TM season getting underway.

The distinctive howl of the 765cc triple, after ten years of the four-cylinder Honda screamers, was a major change for teams, fans and riders.

There was certainly no disappointment when the bikes fired up for the first practice at Losail International Circuit in Qatar for the season opener: The racing was every bit as fast and close as fans have come to expect from Moto2TM

Álex Marquez, brother of MotoGPTM World Champion Marc, battled all season with South Africa’s Brad Binder and Switzerland’s Thomas Lüthi to take the Moto2TM title.

Meanwhile the single-cylinder Moto3TM proved once more that capacity is not a direct correlation to excitement: they may only have 250cc compared to Moto2’s 765cc but the racing is every bit as close and exciting.

Although World Champion Lorenzo Dalla Porta dominated the end of the season, the talent of the field was shown by the fact there were 12 different winners across 19 Grands Prix – astonishing by any measure.

Get set for the closest and most exciting racing you’ll see this year – race after epic race!
